  The condo was exactly as advertised. The size was perfect for the two of us and the location was great for going to many of the local beaches. There was a coffee shop and a brew pub within walking distance. The reception staff was always helpful and friendly. The set up for the key was great as we arrived at 1 in the morning. The parking was free and lots of space.

  The apartment is outdated and needs new furniture.

  It was clean, close enough to walk to a coffee shop and a couple of restaurants, and the view was great. We saw a few whales in the distance from the balcony. I did see some complaints of no air conditioning but it wasn't needed, as long as you kept the sliding door open with the screen shut. It could use some updating but that's more of a cosmetic thing than anything else. The mattress could also be upgraded, but I have slept on worse. Overall, it was a good value and location and a great view.

  The inside of the Condo is 100% private. The view from inside and out is awesome (literally). We saw at least 20 groups of whales and many turtles. On a calm day I snorkeled all the way out to the reef and, as long as you remain on the shore side (east) of the reef, the waves can't push you into any trouble. We visited beaches up and down the coast and walked the boards. But we also spent a lot of time in the Condo because it was so relaxing -open air, no need for closed up AC! We bought take-out meals and brought them back to the room. Why eat at a restaurant when we have the best view possible?

  The ocean view can be seen from the entire studio and is completely private. Some photos taken from the corner of the balcony show a neighboring building, but unless you are standing right there, the balcony is private as well. It is so relaxing to see nothing but ocean! Too hot? Just open the entry door a crack and lock the heavy metal screen door and a breeze will blow right through the room.

  This nice efficiency unit in the Valley Isle building gives a commanding view of the Channel between Maui and Molokai. Tradewind breezes are brisk to vigorous most of the time, and keep the unit comfortable, because there is no AC, and you really need those breezes to stay cool.
  The unit is very clean, very functional, and supports the comfort and needs of one or two people very nicely. Breakfasts on the balcony lanai at sunrise, and dinners at sunset, simply can't be beat!

  This was a great little place for me. I travelled alone, but this would also be great for a couple. The view is one of the best features of the place. The sunset was amazing. The thing that I overlooked was that there was no A/C. There is a screened security door that can allow really good air flow through the unit, but is something to remember when you come.   Just beautiful! Really never have to leave the unit. Sitting on the balcony every morning and every night we watched whales breaching and sea turtles swimming by. Your right on the ocean so the waves crashing on the beach below put you to sleep every night. We never closed the balcony doors. As for the rest of the unit, the bed comes out of the wall but unbelievably comfortable. The kitchen is small and older but didn’t really care since I was not in Maui to cook gourmet meals. The bath was really nice. The unit was absolutely perfect!

  This condo was great for us. You walk in to a beautiful view of the ocean. Located in Kahana which is a short 5 minute drive to either Napili or Kaanapali and about a 10-15 minute drive to Lahaina. Access to the beach but this condo doesn’t offer lounge chairs like many others around the area. Bed was comfy but pillows pretty flat. Condo had bare necessities needed for cooking which worked for us. Very small kitchen! Tight with 2 people cooking in it. Provided towels and extra sheets which was nice. A little more toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap would make this trip more convenient as we had to go out and purchase this stuff. Overall, a lovely stay! Resort/condo grounds are well kept and quiet. In walking distance to some restaurants and coffee shops.

We have many 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 32 bedroom units with larger kitchen that would better suit you for your next stay. We provide shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper for the first 2 days of your stay. I will let housekeeping know and we will replace the pillows. There are back up pillows in the closet along with sheets and towels. We do not provide a maid service as hotels do but you can call us anytime for any needs that you may have. Mahalo, Terry

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valley Isle. The property is comfortable and unpretentious. The view was spectacular; from the gorgeous sunsets to watching the turtles over a morning coffee it added to our vacation.
  The strong winds blowing down the hallway greatly helped as there is no air conditioning.
  We took advantage of the bbqs and enjoyed many relaxed meals at the condo. While the utensils and dishes were satisfactory a few simple spices in the cupboard would be beneficial as you are not going to travel with these.
  Communicating with the property management was difficult over the weekends and no one was available. During the week my questions were responded to quickly. While none of my questions were an emergency a smoother way to communicate would have been appreciated as voicemail and email were not responded to.

  The view!! Talk about wonderful. Sitting on the lanai makes it feel like you are practically in the water. Unit #1106 is a nice unit. A bit basic and could use some updating and paint. The kitchen is minuscule with just a tiny section for counter prep so if you are looking for a place to make full meals then this may not fit the bill. The closet door in the bathroom kept coming off track, the lighting in the toilet area was dim and there was a lack of space to put clothes. BUT, even with all that, it was nicely appointed, clean and in a fabulous location. The murphy bed surprisingly comfortable and it was a decent sized unit for 2 people. The grounds were immaculate and it had a decent pool. Unfortunately, due to erosion there were sandbags at the beach but it didn't take away from anything for us. Somebody looking to stay on the beach may have an issue with that. There is no a/c but opening the front door brought in a great breeze that actually made it chilly in there. All in all, it's a wonderful place to stay for a great price. We are already planning on going back and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to somebody else.

  This studio apartment turned out to be very efficient and not too cramped. I think it would be cramped for four and the kitchen is minimal so basically good for having a light breakfast but the one main room is spacious. In fact, we left the very comfortable Murphy bed folded down during the week because we were not spending much time in the room and when we were, there was room to sit on the sofa and chair to watch TV or on the lanai. The view is terrific—-the photo is totally accurate. We opened the lanai’s sliding glass door when we arrived (there is a screen door too) and closed it when we got ready to check out. It is so close to the ocean that you can hear the glorious sound of the surf clearly, which is a marvelous sleeping aid. The linens were nice and they provided ample towels. The bathroom and shower tile flooring could use updating so they look a little grubbier the they actually are. The shower had a nice grab bar, the water was wonderfully hot, and there were several towel bars (often overlooked in rentals and condos). It would be nice to have better lighting for reading near the bed and by the sofa. The unit is very near the elevator which was handy. The location drawback is that to get to many things on the island you have to go around or through Lahaina, with jammed traffic, but at least the unit is not right in the town.d

Public transportation was only a couple minutes away. A short 10 minutes drive will take you to a Mall with a supermarket that has almost everything you will need. Having the laundry facilities was a great plus. All the kitchen accessories were available to use. There was extra clean towels if needed. The place is very clean and tidy.   The rental was nice. The view from the 11th floor was amazing and it was so amazing to fall asleep to the sounds of the waves and wake up and have coffee on the deck!
  The Murphy bed was all my husband and I needed for our stay and was very comfortable. For our purposes, the condo was great. If I had to say anything about the rating I'm giving for location, it is because the municipal address led me to believe it was right in or closer to Lahaina town proper and would be a short walk to front street. It's actually in Kahana, which is a 7-10minute drive to front street, this is likely my own fault, I could have dug a bit further and researched the island a bit more. But we had a rental car so the drive wasn't really a problem. There's not much that is walkable from this location, there's a small pool and a small beach, but any destination had to be driven to so I'd suggest having a rental car to stay here. The furniture and condo condition was a bit dated but like I said, it was all we needed and we were very happy with it.
  Otherwise our stay was great. We'd stay here again.

  This condo is great for one couple. I got this condo for the view, and was not disappointed. From the balcony you can look straight down on the narrow beach where you can often spot turtles in the water. The moon set was gorgious, great balcony with two chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine after dinner. The condo itself was clean and comes with 2 sets of beach towels and two beach chairs, all of high quality. There is no dishwasher though and the coffee maker was of the cheapest kind and not the cleanest. There are no condiments at all, which is different from other Homeaway rentals I have been to, you will need to buy everything that you plan to consume. The Murphy bed was reasonably comfortable for a slim couple but hard to pull down, it requires physical strength, we ended up leaving it down the entire time. The curtains were too light, you will wake up very early. There is no AC but we were ok with that (March), we only used the ceiling fan one night. Thelocation turned out to be great. Being close to Lahaina downtown and Kaanapali beach is important if you plan to take boat tours, which we did. Napili beach is also near by. Convenience store, coffee shop and Maui brewing company is right there. There is no proper grocery store though. You will need a car. We had a wonderful dinner at Pacific'O.

  I absolutely loved the view from this 11th story condo between Lahaina and Napili, in Maui. The studio sized condo was clean. It was located in a great part of Maui near great shopping and restaurants. Across the street you'll find the popular Miso Phat Japaneese restaurant. Also just north of another great restaurant called Java Jazz. They have an eclectic setting and live music after 7pm. We visited in February. Very windy most mornings but sunny and hot by late afternoon . The condo came with beach chairs; beach umbrella and beach towels! The pool area included BBQs; shower and lounge chairs. We had a great stay.

  We had a very nice stay at Valley Isle 1106 in January 2015. It's a nice little studio with all the basics. Nothing fancy but perfect for the price. Views of the ocean and sunset from the balcony are excellent. Lots of whales to watch so bring your binoculars. We were mostly visiting the island everyday so haven't spent a lot of time during the day at the condo. No resort facilities (no bar, no restaurant, no spa on site), some restaurants, coffee shop and grocery accross the street. 10 minutes drive to Whalers village and 15 minutes to Lahaina. Beach is good but rocky bottom so you may need water shoes to swim in the ocean.

  The place had everything you would want for a vacation: beach umbrella, boogie board, snorkel masks and tubes, beach towels, beach bags, all necessary cooking equipment, plug in fans, ceiling fan, fold out couch, comfortable bed with extra sheets and pillows, many towels, TV with DVD player (and cable I think), 4 patio chairs and more.
  
  The management company is very friendly and professional.
  
  The view is unbeatable. Private balcony overlooking a long (but narrow) sand beach with beach chairs available for guests. We saw dozens of sea turtles swimming from our balcony during the 11 days we were there.
  
  Parking is free and plentiful in front of the resort. Resort also has a small pool with chairs around it. Great quiet area near a general store and good restaurant options.

  The view was magnificent! Even though there were tons of fun things to do on the island, it was hard to give up the sound of the waves and the wonderful view. Therefor, we bought groceries and ate on the lanai as much as possible. The lanais were very private so you did not have to look out and see other people.
  The sea turtles delighted and entertained us. Sometimes we could see seven or eight at once. Snorkeling from the beach was even better as the turtles were curious and would swim very close to us.
  The studio was well equipped and had all of the "beach stuff" we needed. We were close to groceries, great food, and entertainment. The staff was very helpful, the grounds clean and beautiful. I would recommend this rental property to anyone who wants to either lay back and enjoy or run around and see all of the sights on Maui. Thank you so much.

The pool area was adequate--small but quiet and clean. The beach was very narrow and steep with a rocky bottom; not a good place for either sunning or swimming. The water was shut off for a full day which we were not told when we made our reservation. This was extremely inconvenient.

  Well worth the money. Not perfect, not a fancy resort, so don't expect that, but absolutely fantastic ocean view and ocean sound, which means so much to us.
  
  Negatives: Pool is not the one shown in some pictures (that's next door), is instead behind the building (away from water) and fairly small; no hot tub facility; no dishwasher in this unit; tv is fairly small (picky, I know); no air conditioning (but see positives); two burners on stove didn't work (reported, should be fixed by now); no safe in room; small cosmetic issues (wall by microwave, rust and worn area on safety door); Fitness center attached to parking lot had major fire, an eyesore (when parking, not visible from unit and did not affect experience).
  
  Positives: Lanai is fairly large, very private due to "curve" shape of building, has table and four good chairs; view from room and especially lanai is absolutely spectacular, faces directly at the beach, ocean and Molokai; beach (which is good, with decent swimming and snorkeling on-site) is right in front of building; good cross breeze through unit with front door left open (and safety door locked)plus two good fans to substitute for no air conditioning; ocean noise lets you sleep like a baby; Murphy Bed is very comfortable; good, decent, comfortable furniture; decent refrigerator, microwave, sink--we ate in quite a bit; decent dishes, silverware, etc.; excellent soundproofing between rooms (better than said Westin, where we stayed the first half the trip); did I mention the view?
  
  Overall: Again, not the Westin or Ritz Carlton, but then again 1/2 or less the price. Very good to excellent value for the money (depending on your "must haves"), and we will definitely stay again when in Maui.

  THE CONDO HAD A VIEW TODIE FOR AND THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT, WE MET ALOT OF PEOPLE ANND MOST WERE ALL RETURNEES TO VALLEY ISLE WHICH SPEAKS VOLUMES FOR THE LOCATION. I WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN. THE BEACH WAS GREAT.

  The Place: It was as describe and exactly as shown in pictures. A gorgeous view of the ocean from the lanai. There is everything that you need to make yourself a good breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's easy to get around, where the most top hotels are really close. The internet is great, tv, and the space are perfect for 2. There is also a good pool, shower after to take after the beach and barbecue facilities.
  The beach: It is good. Not much for snorkeling (but you can see a turtle). There is a lot of rock on the bottom. But, It's nice and good to make a walk. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset at the beach or from the lanai.
  The Top: Read the manual that is in the apartment. It gives a great help to plan your trip and have a lot os tips that you can't miss. It is a little far to get to the South and sunrise view from the Mountain. But It is close of the great beaches, the Lahaina St. (which have a lot of restaurants, shops, etc).
  Results: Great place, good beach, great position on the island.
