Nohonani 402 is a beautiful two bedroom one and a half bath unit on the fourth floor, with vaulted ceilings and a breathtaking ocean view. Ocean views can be seen from the kitchen, dining areas, living room and master bedroom. As with all the Nohonani units, the master bedroom is ocean front and has a sliding door that opens directly to the lanai. Nothing compares to being lulled to sleep by the rhythmic ocean waves right outside your window. Unit is equipped with all the amenities of home. Newly renovated, with a new kitchen, tile and glass master bath, powder room and tile in the kitchen, living, dining and bathrooms. TV's in both the master bedroom and living room offer "Enhanced HD" for your viewing pleasure! Guests return year after year to the unit they consider their own "home away from home", so book early!

A sunset cruise around the island makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s even a submarine that can take you into the deeps while you view its mysteries from the comfort of a warm cabin. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs, and forests you would be hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, check out the zip lines at the Haleakala Skyline Tour. All this can be done just minutes, even steps away from your Maui vacation rental!

We are centrally located in West Maui, 5 minutes north of Ka'anapali and 5 minutes south of Kapalua. We are close to shopping, award-winning golf courses, and restaurants, only a few minutes away from the Whalers Village on world famous Ka’anapali Beach, home to the Whale Museum, along with numerous shops, restaurants and art galleries.

  We loved the location and the view. Sandy beach with water access. Enjoyed the pool. Parking was always available. The rental and surrounding property was clean and kitchen was well stocked with kitchen tools. Felt very safe inside and out.Property manager was responsive helping with tv operation and hanging beach towels to a second bedroom window that was missing drapes/curtains. Only other negative was getting use to the crashing waves at night. But, that's me. We would definitely stay here again.

  The view from the balcony was absolutely gorgeous. The location central and the beach in front of the condo was lovely and private. We snorkeled from that location and saw tons of sea-life including sunbathing turtles. The condo was clean and well stocked. Overall very nice and comfortable. There were 3 of us and we had plenty of space. I would recommend this unit and I would stay here again. There is not air conditioning but we did not need it in June.   This was our second time at Nohonani and our experience mirrored our first. It's a beautiful location with a lovely little beach out front. This unit itself is nicely equipped with the various kitchen necessities of all types, beach towels, and some beach equipment (small chairs and a cooler). The master king bed is very comfortable. Wifi worked well. Breeze keeps things very comfortable. It's a beautiful unit with all of the amenities needed and one of my favourite locations on the island.
  
  We did have the same challenge as we had last time we stayed here (may not be an issue for some). We find it a bit hard to sleep at night if it's a big wave night (most nights in December are big wave nights). These bedrooms are oceanside and are very comfortable if you can sleep with the bedroom windows open, but when a huge wave crashes at 3am, it might wake you up. It's not a complaint - just something to be aware of - we knew what we were getting into. I found that wearing soft earplugs made all of the difference and I was able to sleep soundly. My wife doesn't like to wear them as we have a young son, but eventually tried and was happier as a result.
  
  Overall, we love this unit and love Nohonani - being so close to the ocean is a magical experience. The water is so clear right off your balcony and it's common to see turtles swimming and sunning themselves on the beach. We even saw a pod of dolphins this time, which was pretty cool.

  We had a wonderful experience in Nohonani #402! The complex was well maintained and the unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the pool and the sound of the waves crashing right outside our window. There is no air conditioning in the unit which isn't a huge issue, however, the waves are VERY loud and you'll need to keep the windows open at night so make sure to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

  I researched condos on Maui like my life depended on it-I'm cheap, but I was not going to spend all that $$ getting to Maui only to stay in a place with super tacky decor, "a short walk" to the beach, and a ton of tourists packed in to a high rise. There was something very specific that I was looking for and I found it with Nohonani #402. It was slightly over my budget, but well worth every penny. It's not fancy but it's got everything you need for a relaxing vacay with a view.
  
  Nohonani #402 was perfect for us. Trust me when I tell you the view is amazing PLUS the master bedroom has a view/lanai! The property is fairly small so it never felt crowded. The pool was great and we snorkeled every day right from the small beach in front. We spent most of our days adventuring around the island, but spent a couple lazy days just chilling around Nohonani. I had a hard time motivating myself off of the lanai because the view is hypnotizing.
  
  Terry was super kind and helpful, the condo had everything we needed to start our 8 day trip, and if you are looking for a no fuss, clean, 2 bedroom condo with a view and ON THE BEACH, then stay here. We will be back for sure!

  This was my third time to Maui and was thrilled to stay longer than previous visits. The condo was adequate for our needs and in a good location. The view is spectacular! We were disappointed in the lack of amenities and supplies. Be prepared to come with kleenex, hand soap by sink, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, zip lock baggies, etc. I have stayed in previous rentals that were sufficiently supplied in the past. It might be because of being on an island. We were glad we stopped at Costco on the way to the condo. The second bedroom is very tight and cannot accommodate a pack and play. The mattresses need to be replaced in both bedrooms. However, stepping out on the lanai for coffee every morning watching the whales, turtles and whales was the best!

  Our rental unit was located right on the beach. Although it was an older building, the grounds were very well kept and the unit was very clean and well epuipped. Our only disappointment was that one of the single beds in the second bedroom was so old that we could actually feel the springs when we tried to sleep on it. All other beds were fine.
  We really enjoyed seeing the turtles come up on the beach every night and swimming in the onsite pool.
  The location of the unit is excellent and close to all amenities.

  The location absolutely outstanding and the patio facing the ocean was delightful. The property itself was well kept and suited our needs quite well too. The beach was nice and sandy, but there are some large lava rocks (boulders) in the water near the beach, so it was tough to swim. The rooms were a little tight, but did well to serve the purpose of sleeping since the rest of the apt was available for entertainment. Having a kitchen and entertaining space was outstanding. The only thing that I would say was unpleasant is that the mattresses were very uncomfortable and clearly low quality. That said, I would still stay there again. One note for others, there is no air conditioning, which is common for Hawaii (esp. on the ocean). It was a little uncomfortable on the first night because it had rained in the afternoon and got VERY humid. The other 6 nights were very pleasant. The management company was very responsive. One of the drains was kind of slow, and within a couple of hours, it was fixed.

With the trade winds and opening up the unit it makes it very comfortable. We have a problems with the drains sometimes as guests tend to bring in sand or other items but a very easy fix.   We were very satisfied with our Nohonani rental. The location was good. You could walk to some good casual eats and to the grocery store. The kitchen was well stocked. Being right on the beach was great for watching whales each morning. The living area was a great size and worked well for us to have relatives come over to eat with us. The resident manager, Joe, is great and very friendly. And it was very fun to see a sea turtle on the beach right in front of the property on most days. Areas for improvement: the overhead fans had layers of dust on them, as did the artificial flower arrangements. Everything else seemed clean, but that gave a bad impression. The beds were so-so comfort wise. The screen slider to the deck is broken and needs to be replaced. There needs to be information about contacting the resident manager about getting a parking permit. These are minor things, but might be important to some.

  We stayed in 402 as a family of 4.. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The location really stunned us. Honokowai is mostly lacking in sandy beaches. However, Nohonani is the only condo in many miles that has its own sandy beach right in front of it. And boy does that pay off: our condo turns out of be a favourite spot for turtles to take a nap in the evening. We saw a turtle rest on our beach almost every day. (Keep in mind it is illegal to touch or harass turtles in any way in Hawaii, even being too close to them a while they are napping). The pool is well maintained and heated. The beach in front of the condo is swimmable and suitable for snorkeling, although don't expect the biodiversity of other famous snorkeling spots. I was happy enough to have spotted some sea urchins, colourful fishes, and of course turtles. Not being in a touristy area, the beach felt like our own private beach. If anything were missing we were merely a few minutes walk from a lovely farmers market, and a few minutes drive from Times supermarket and ABC store. It felt like our own little home. One little hiccup would be some parts of the condo seem to be a little dated. One of the doors (master bedroom washroom door) would not unlatch after latching. But I'm sure these are temporary problems that will be dealt with promptly. We never felt too bothered by slight material inadequacies because the location was so great. The sleep quality was beyond what we expected because the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. In short, this is great home-like condo unit perfect for families looking for a simple and serene stay in West Maui.

  I took my mother for her 80th birthday, we had a lovely time. We spent many hours on the lani just listening to the crashing waves. We were lucky enough to have some sea turtle visitors just basking in the sun. AI have never heard such loud crash waves. It lulled us to sleep each night. Great location. Farmers Market was great. We would stay here again

It's location could not be much closer to the ocean, and the facility it's contained in is very well maintained. We met the property manager, who was very pleasant and helpful. The lanai is where we spent most of our time, when not out enjoying all that Maui has to offer. We will look to rent this specific unit again on a future trip to Maui!

  Nohonani #402 is a wonderful place to stay when we are in Maui. It is just north of Kaanapali with magnificent views of the the ocean with turtles and whales, shooting stars and this time even a moon set. We also experienced a most beautiful sunset with color displays that lasted for nearly 30 minutes right from our balcony. The condo, itself has fresh paint, new plush carpeting in the bedrooms, ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room for those times that the trade winds take a rest. The beds are comfortable, as is the new living room furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped and the condo provides enough space for some family entertaining. My husband, son and grandsons enjoyed a day of snorkeling around the reefs right off the beach of the condo. I would rent this condo through Maui Lodging in a heartbeat. I can't wait to go back.

  Although the outdoor corridors are in shabby condition and the unit is older, the inside was clean and you cannot beat the view. We would stay again. Extremely well equipped....they had virtually everything stocked besides groceries! Parking is horrible tight passengers on one side of the vehicle had to get out before we parked because there was no room to open the doors.

  The Condo is situated on the Water Front with views that are continually fulfilling and rewarding. A Pool is a wonderful attribute where the grandchildren learn or enhance their swimming skills.

We had a terrific view and sat on the balcony and watched the turtles swimming in the waves in front of us. We were able to rent equipment down the street and enjoyed snorkeling with the fish right in front of our window. I took video of the waves just to be able to remember what a view we had.   What a great surprise to have a condo unit that met every expectation. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen were modern and super clean. The top floor unit was immaculate in every way! Oh, and the new carpet is so plush! The unit had everything for use and enjoyment, including re-usable shopping bags. The grounds were maintained daily, and the view was spectacular. We kept our windows open to hear the wave, and the daily visits from the sea turtles made our trip perfect. The pool and private beach access in front of the building made use feel like we had our own piece of paradise. It was also nice having free parking and available parking spaces. A special thank you to the resident manager for answering our questions, and to the Property Manager (Maui Lodging) for shipping two sweaters back to us that we left behind. That was very kind of you! This unit is worth every penny.

  This condo is a gem. The view is spectacular. It is in a great location for seeing the sites of Lahaina, Kanapali, Kapalua. I would rent this condo again. Th carpets in the bedrooms are scheduled to be replaced in October. Once this is done, the condo will be in tip-

  We have stayed here for 3 years in a row, and it just gets better.
  The owners have spent some time and effort to update the ceiling fan controls, paint, ad Artwork, and replace the Kitchen Table and Chairs as well as the furniture in the Master Bedroom! Thank You - Very well done!
  Maui Lodging stepped up to the plate and cleaned the carpets, as there was no down time between rentals, we did not mind at all having them done while we stayed. They also repaired both the sliding screen doors to everyone’s advantage. They also found us an Iron that was always in the unit but had somehow disappeared.
  We treat this as our home, and replace things and kitchen items that are worn, and do small fix up jobs, to improve everyone’s stay it is truly a delight.
  We have booked for 2015 and look forward to returning the minute we leave!!

  The Maui Lodging Properties were excellent to deal with. Check in was a breeze. We found the condo very well equipped. Even had a small cooler, boogie boards and beach chairs. The kitchen was well stocked with all basic necessities and more. We had a heavy rainfall one evening and the lanai is carpeted. I would recommend that this be removed as it stayed wet for a few days. The back bedroom carpet smelled a little musty after the rain as well. There is a box outside the back bedroom window with a plant on it it was saturated,so that may have contributed to the dampness as well. It wasn't terrible though. Maybe tile throughout the unit would be easier to maintain. Joe the Nohohani property manager was excellent. He was very particular and kept the grounds and BarBQ very clean and well maintained. Our toaster burned out and a quick call to Maui Lodging Properties and it was replaced immediately. Beds were comfortable and we would go to sleep with the sound of the ocean. The beach out front is perfect we were able to snorkle right out front on the reef. At one point 3 sea turtles came up on the beach, and the shows the whales put on that we viewed from the lanai were unforgettable. The condo complex is small so it's not very crowded or noisy.Doesn't get any better than this. We would definately come back to the Nohohani unit402.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our January stay at NohoNani. The condo is perfectly situated - nice beach, great whale-watching, big sea turtles on the beach almost every day. Condo is well-equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. Free parking, elevator appreciated. Access to Lani from both living room and master bedroom. Easy walk to shopping, including food, clothing, souvenirs. Minor quibble: carpet in bedrooms seemed rather old and maybe not quite clean, but this was a very minor item.   We loved the location and the amenities of this condo. Some pieces were a bit dated (the dining room table started to collapse). Other than that it was a great experience. The maintenance staff was extremely responsive. We had turtles on the beach every day. Overall amazing experience.

  Our condo was very well furnished, especially the kitchen with quality and variety of all kitchen needs. We wish here had been more grass area, but understand the limited space availabled. Many beach items also availabled, therefore we had brought some items we didn't need.

  My husband and I as well as another couple stayed in this condo for 10 days. It was wonderful! It had everything that we needed and more and you can't beat the location. We saw an abundance of whales and sea turtles and fell asleep as night to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. We were within walking distance to a number of establishments and enjoyed cooking steaks and pineapples on the grill by the pool. I defiantly recommend this condo!

  We stayed at this Superb Property for a second year and absolutely loved it! Maui Lodging and the owners could not have been better! The property is situated in a great neighborhood with lots of amenities and the beach at your footsteps. Nothing could be better.

  The ocean was awesome, the turtles daily rocked, it was nice to have some beach toys there. A/C would have been nice but lived without it, a couple lights in the place needed some work (tops were loose and could easily expose wires). I tried to stop by your office but closed early on saturday. Very nice place and will try work with your company in the future. Thank you

  The condo was well maintained and had all the basic things you will need. It's a home away from home.
  It was a treat having the sound of the crashing waves constantly in the background. We enjoyed watching the turtles while we had our morning coffee on the lanai.

  Beautiful location. If you like the sound of the ocean, this is definitely the unit to be in. Also one of the best equiped condos I've been in. Nice small sandy beach. Only problem was we rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath. This unit is a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. The twin beds were quite small - would be suitable for young children. Would not rent this unit if I were traveling with friends. Not enough privacy in bedroom/bathroom situation. One of the twin bed frames was broken and did not get fixed while we were there. My adult son slept on the sofa (also a hideabed). Worked out fine. Management people are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely rent one of their properties again.
