Unit 202 is a beautiful two bedroom 2 bath unit on the 2nd floor with breathtaking ocean views from the kitchen, dining areas, living room and master bedroom. As with all the Nohonani units, the master bedroom is ocean side and has a sliding door that opens directly to the lanai. Nothing compares to being lulled to sleep by the rhythmic ocean waves right outside your window. Unit is equipped with all the amenities of home. Guests return year after year to the unit they consider their own "home away from home", so book early!

A sunset cruise around the island makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s even a submarine that can take you into the deeps while you view its mysteries from the comfort of a warm cabin. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs, and forests you would be hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, check out the zip lines at the Haleakala Skyline Tour. All this can be done just minutes, even steps away from your Maui vacation rental!

  We have stayed in various condos on this property and none of them disappoint. With its own beach and pool, there's actually very few reasons to need to leave the property unless you're going exploring the island or the ocean. With only 28 units on the property it remains intimate and we've always gotten to know our neighbors. We never stay anywhere else.   We loved the location of this property and the views were amazing. We were able to snorkel on the beach and watched turtles swimming near the reef and sunning on the beach. The whole condo complex was well maintained and common areas immaculately cleaned each morning. We found the staff and other guests to be helpful and friendly. The unit was just as described. We were warned in advance that it might be hot during this time of year, but were pleased with how the combination of ocean breeze and fans kept the unit cool. We loved the feel of this area of Maui and liked how quickly we were able to get to Lahaina and other popular sites on the island. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

  We have stayed at the Nohonani for 30+ years off and on. Love the location, view,proximity, etc. It’s wonderful. However, this unit had quite a few things less than desirable. Toaster didn’t work, screen slider door to master didn’t work well, missing many essential kitchen items (few silverware and cooking sheets). Also, the property management, Maui lodging, was less than desirable. They were doing construction downstairs and it was super loud and they called me to see if a plumber could come in during our stay into our unit to assess the situation. While I didn’t mind, the construction sound was super loud and we asked for a late checkout to help accommodate us as we were to them with an emphatic “no”. My sister also stayed there with another prop moment company and she was told “no problem” for a late checkout. So we moved our stuff to hers and then our condo sat empty for 3 hours with no cleaners as we were told a “no” to a late checkout. Maui lodiging is not very friendly or willing to work with vacationers there. Would not go through them again if I get a chancel

    Aloha, The reason I could not do a late check out was the plumbers were in the condo. There was a problem with 102,202,302 and 402. As far as the toaster if you would of called us we would of been happy to bring you a new one. We have extra appliances etc in our storage for these problems.   What an awesome place for us. The condo was beyond what we could have asked for. We are frequent travelers to Maui, this one was an unexpected trip so had to be planned quickly.Location was BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL. there was not a day that we did not sit on the Lani and see whales breaching,and the sound of the waves rolling. My daughter and her family of three stayed there also so they was plenty of space for 4 adults 2kiddos and a baby. The management even provided us with a pac n play for the baby. The condo was very comfortable with very nice ammendities but nothing we had to worry about with the kids breaking or was walking distance to grocery store and little shops along with places to eat and farmers market. very family friendly pool right below our lani.   We had a great stay- 3 adults and 2 young children for 10 nights. Location is very nice, right on the water and most of the time there was about 15 to 20 feet of sand to play in (May 2019). Terry was very helpful and accommodating. Condo needs a good touch-up (locks on bathroom doors don't work, sliding glass windows and sliding screens get stuck and their locking mechanisms are also difficult to use; shower and sink drain slowly, toilet flushes slowly). We would stay again.

  Nohonani condo was amazing right from the start. It’s located right on the beach just north of Lahaina. As soon as you walk in you can see and hear the ocean. We always try to stay ocean front when we go on vacation and this was one of the best ocean front places for sure. They have a nice beach area right in front of the condos. We have 2 little kids so it was perfect just to head down and play in the waves and be able to go back to the condo for naps or eating. The condo is well lived in but has everything you need. Kitchen is well supplied, lots of beach towels and a few things for the beach which was nice to have. Best part was the Lanai where we spent all our time when the kids went to bed. Perfect place to relax and have a few drinks. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves the ocean and is looking for a perfect vacation spot.

  Wow! I like this place. For the price, you cannot do much better. I could easily be negative on a few items but it was so cool to be so close to the ocean and the turtles. There is no AC, so if you have spouse that needs air conditioning to be happy, keep on looking. We stayed there the last week of April and the breeze from the front to the back was perfect with the window open. Listening to the ocean at night was wonderful. I would have hated to have been in a resort hotel and miss the "realness" this condo offered to us. The management company was easy to deal with.
  
  This is a quiet place. If your family is loud and you want to blast your music, read the rules for this place. There were no problems with parking. There are three turtles that sun-ed themselves most every day on the beach. I snorkeled every day off the beach and ran into one of the turtles. Enjoy your stay.

  My wife and I, along with her parents, recently stayed here for 9 wonderful nights. The location of the Nohonani complex is awesome. 15 min walk to Times Grocery Store, 5 min walk to ABC Store, 3 min walk to Farmers Market. Can't beat the location! It's also a small complex right on the water - not a monster high-rise complex set back from the water like you find on Kaanapali Beach. We prefer smaller, more intimate complexes. Unit 202 is over the pool area - not directly over the pool - so you avoid most of the pool noise. We only had one day where the pool noise was a bit of an issue but didn't really bother us most days. We had an issue with hot water in the unit but Herb had the issue fixed promptly. The unit is older and shows its age but we were quite comfortable in it. The view out the lanai is priceless. We saw several whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. We had 4 turtles on the beach one day right in front of the complex. We enjoyed the small beach right in front of the complex. It wasn't very crowded and you don't have to fight for parking like other Maui beaches! Pool is also awesome. Complex is well kept with 2 modern BBQs. Lots of pool/ocean toys to use as well (flutter boards, noodles, etc.). Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place. Feel free to contact me for more info if needed.

  We shared this unit with another couple of friends, for 8 nights. We split the stay using the master bedroom: I mention this because we all found the "children's" room relatively noisy with traffic and roosters at 4AM. But that's all the non-positive I'm going to say about the unit, which is modern, well furnished, and has the best sunset view and beach access you could possibly dream of. And speaking of the beach, the whole waterfront is a turtle highway, simply amazing if you're snorkeling, or even just walking on the beach where they come to rest at night. A great recommendation on the site and on Terry at reservations who was a charm dealing with.

  The location was ideal. Loved the private beach and visiting sea turtles. Great view, nice breeze flowing through the place since no A/C. Had a small fan we could use for bedroom. But comparing it to a similar oceanfront condo in Kona (Big Island) this Maui one was missing some general necessities. Big island we had a huge L shape couch, TV in living room and both bedrooms. Kitchens was stocked to the hilt with dishes, utensils, cookware and closets stocked with dishwasher soap, laundry soap, TP, paper towels, Ziplock bags. We cooked a lot in that one. I mean it was well stocked. This condo in Maui gave us three rolls of TP, you know the cheep kind that last a day per roll, and we were there 9 days. They provided very little utensils/cookware, not even a cutting board. We didn't cook at all there. One small, one-use powder laundry detergent was provided of three people staying 9 days. The couch was small with one TV in the living room only. Also it was pretty noisy being so close to the pool and noisy neighbors through the walls. I felt the privacy was a little lacking compared to the Big Island condo we rented just days before. Really liked the Kona condo better.

  We had a fabulous 9 days at Nohonani 202 again this year (our 2nd stay). It feels like home! The unit is clean and comfortable and offered everything necessary for me, my husband and 2 daughters (aged 9 & 11) to enjoy our time in West Maui. The access to some of the best snorkelling on the island at Kapalua & Honalua Bays is great; we loved Napili beach as well! It's lovely to come back after a day trip to enjoy the condo, pool and beach, and see the amazing sea turtles who also call Nohonani home (we saw 4 on our beach one day!). There are beach chairs, an umbrella and new beach towels for our use. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and the shower is great. It's really nice to have 2 bathrooms in a condo this size. I noticed some of the units have upgraded their patio doors and this would be a great improvement to the unit, as they are tricky to open at times. Herb (mgr) was very nice and we enjoyed the mac nut chocolates upon arrival! He was very available and quick to act when we needed a few household items for the unit. Joe (caretaker onsite) is very friendly as well. The staff at Maui Lodging are great to deal with; quick and responsive when booking. We would definitely stay here again :)

  The only thing I would re commend is to make it known on your site that there is No air conditioning at the rental property! Also need a better internet service! We did not have internet service the entire 11 day stay.... Was not too fun with three teenagers and used a lot of our data plan which increased our phone bill quite a bit while on vacation. But overall a very nice stay!

  Our family of 4 (myself, my husband & two daughters aged 8 & 10) had a fabulous time in Maui recently and loved staying in unit 202 for 8 days! It offered a great view of the pool and beach area, and beautiful ocean views and sunsets every day. We really appreciated the ocean side pool everyday after days spent exploring nearby beaches (Napili & Kapalua were our faves). The local beach is lovely for relaxing and putting your feet in the ocean just steps from the condo. The turtles who make the Nohonani beach their resting spot are amazing to see; we felt so lucky to have them on "our" beach.
  Unit 202 is spacious & clean with very comfortable beds & linens -- we fully enjoyed our sleeps! Having 2 bathrooms was great too. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy our meals on the lanai. The beach chairs in the closet and boogie boards down by the pool were great to borrow for our beach outings. The complex is located within walking distance from a great coffee shop (Bad *** Coffee) and the market was good for our special dietary needs. There is a larger grocery store not far away. Paradiso Pizza had fantastic GF pizza too!
  The onsite manager was very attentive when we needed something fixed and Bree at MLP was great with our booking pre-trip and when we had to extend our stay. We really felt like this unit was our home and look forward to coming back again! I would definitely recommend this unit to others.

  We very much enjoyed our stay at Nohonani #202. The first morning after arriving the night before, we saw a humpback whale jump all the way out of the water and two sea turtles sunning themselves on the beach. The unit was clean, and comfortable for the six of us. Great location: Near great beaches and grocery shopping. Great view!

  I love the location of this property! The view out back is unmatched. I also love going to sleep listening to the crashing waves. My only suggestions would be to add light weight comforters to the beds. Although not needed for warmth, they make sleeping extra cozy. Also, the couch in the living area is in need of replacement.

  Fabulous spot on Maui! We had the best unit in the complex. The beach at times was lacking sand but 95% of Maui is lacking a sandy beach. Centrally located on the west side with access to everything.

  Spent a heavenly week at Nohonani. Lanai was perfect and the ocean view was incredible. Condo was equipped with everything we needed. Ice maker was an added bonus. Drop the shades on the lanai in the afternoon and get all the fans going and keep them going - otherwise condo gets really hot. Definitely would go back again.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this oceanfront condo. The waves crashing on the shore are so close and loud, it was actually difficult to sleep through the night.... can't get that at home!
  This condo had everything we needed for our comfort and the location was excellent. Watching the whales in the distance from the lanai was fantastic; the beach is small in front of the condo and rocky in the water, but it was still beautiful. It won't be long till we return to Maui for a longer stay.

  Nohonani was recommended to us by a friend as a place they return to every time they go to Maui. I understand why. It is in a beautiful location and so close to the ocean. Most everything you need is within walking distance and the area feels like its own small town. The unit (202) was clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen items. The dishwasher was not draining and the management took care of it within the day and were very apologetic. I was vacationing in Maui, there was no need to apologize! We are not people that return to the same vacation lodging, preferring variety, but I could see us returning to Nohonani.

  Nohonani #202 was great. The beds were amazing and the place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Good location - just note that it actually isn't IN Lahaina. With nohonani being the only condo complex with a great beach out front, it made the trip that much better. (Turtles come up on the beach every evening. Amazing to watch)

  This was my first time to Hawaii & I did quite a bit of research on finding the accommodations with my must-haves. I needed a 2 bed 2 bath with an ocean view. I have to admit when I first arrived I was a little disappointed because it was not as upscale as I expected. It only took me a short time to appreciate everything it had to offer. While I was there I took the opportunity to look at other condos in the same area & the Napili area. Although the other condos were nice overall they could not beat Nohonani #202 in my must-haves & the cost. After sharing my pics with my brother he is interested in renting this condo on his next Maui trip.

  The ocean views from our living room and lanai, especially during sunset, couldn't be beat. The remodeled kitchen was super nice. Master bedroom right by the ocean too with wonderful views and sounds of the ocean. Very comfortable sleeper sofa in living room. Beach in front had tons of turtles and fish for great snorkeling, which was one of the highlights of our stay here (body surfing is better on other beaches). Extra snorkels, masks, flippers were provided at the condo. Nice pool area.
  A few negatives: Slow internet. Ran out of hot water during 2nd shower. Unit was very clean except for dirt that had blown into the bathroom and front door vents. (However, we had a great cross-breeze so inevitably dirt will come in--it was just the first thing we saw when we walked in the door upon checking in.) Loud partying neighbors kept us awake one night (Joe with management was quick to address this.) Back bedroom w/ 2 single beds had lots of road noise. This may be fine for kids, but we ended up sleeping on the living room sleeper sofa which was very comfortable, and listened to the ocean all night. Finally, we have always stayed at hotels in the past, so when we arrived late to check-in we didn't realize there wouldn't be an office open to get our key. When we called Maui Lodging and didn't get a call back, we called the resident manager Joe and he said to look for an email with the lock box code. We found the code in an email with the subject line "please fax your rental agreement". It would have been helpful for us condo dummies if the subject line had also said "important check in instructions!". We eventually found the email and got in just fine.
  By the end were very happy with our stay.

  This is the perfect family spot in Maui. We could have stayed right at the condo our entire stay and been happy. Of course it's too hard to resist all that Maui has to offer. We loved the sea turtles resting steps from shore all day, and scooting onto the sand at night. The pool was perfect and our private little beach was amazing. My wife and I took an early morning stroll to the Bad *** coffee shop every morning for delicious coffee and if your there early enough amazing pastry. This condo has everything you need for a great Hawiian vacation.

  We enjoyed our stay very much, from the first time we stepped into the condo until the last time we stepped out at the end of our stay. The unit was sparkling clean, fresh, welcoming and beautifully furnished. The view from lanai was spectacular. Very private and quiet. We loved sitting out and watching the sea turtles. Office personnel were most accommodating. We requested a maid to come in about halfway through our stay, and she did a fantastic job. When we returned later that day, everything was as though we had just checked in. It's a beautiful area and we will definitely return.
