Hoyochi Nikko 202 is a two bedroom unit boasts a master bedroom on the main level with a king-size bed and a spiral staircase that leads you to a large lofted second bedroom with a queen-size bed. I This unit is tastefully decorated throughout with many custom features. High vaulted ceilings make for added space and enjoyment for the living room and loft. There is air-conditioning in the master bedroom. All units are fully equipped with Cable TV, washer/dryer, hair dryer, furnished kitchens and WI-FI Internet Access.

A sunset cruise around the island makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s even a submarine that can take you into the deeps while you view its mysteries from the comfort of a warm cabin. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs, and forests you would be hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, check out the zip lines at the Haleakala Skyline Tour. All this can be done just minutes, even steps away from your Maui vacation rental!

We are centrally located in West Maui, 10 minutes North of Lahaina and 5 minutes south of Kapalua. We are close to shopping, award-winning golf courses, and restaurants, only a few minutes away from the Whalers Village on world famous Ka’anapali Beach, home to the Whale Museum, along with numerous shops, restaurants and art galleries.

  We had a wonderful stay here with our two girls (8 and 10). The surf looks bigger than it is. The water is far shallower than you would expect. The unit needs updating but the location is perfect. Nice and quiet and with 3 resident turtles who are not shy about making an appearance.

  Overall the experience was excellent.However half of the plates were plastic! There were a total of 5 wine glasses 4 of which were rubbery plastic and hard to clean(we ended up. Not using them). The blinds on the water side are and have been substandard(falling apart) for over 20 years.we have not stayed in that unit for a long time.
  Other units at Hoyochi Nikko seem better cared for! My thought is that they are
  privately owned and the ow era actually use them periodically.

  We had a wonderful visit! This is our second visit to Hoyochi Nikko! This visit we selected a larger and lovely two bedroom unit #202. All the units face the ocean and the views are extraordinary! The unit is well appointed with many conveniences (blender, coffee maker, fast wifi, beach chairs, cooler and pool toys). The larger lanai is wonderful! We made breakfast each morning and sat on the lanai watching whales and paddle boarders! The unit is well kept and clean. The unit is very quiet also. People are really friendly and the grounds are well maintained and lush. There is access to the beach! Two turtles came up on the beach in front of the condo this trip! It's close to a grocery store, restaurants and incredible food trucks. It's 8 min drive to Ka'anapli and Napili!

  Overall our stay in Hoyochi Nikko #202 was good. The condo was clean and the view is the best. Our coffee pot broke down on us the first day but with a quick txt to the manager it was replaced with a new one the same day. If your planning on sleeping in the loft be aware there is no AC and gets quite hot even with the fans. If I could suggest maybe getting new fans as the ones there are pretty old and do not work that great. The appliances could use an upgrade as well, but that's just me being picky because we stayed for 10 days and did a lot of cooking.

  Perfect condo for us for a recent scuba diving trip to Maui. The place is open, light, and airy. The condo was very clean. The master bedroom bed was firm in a GREAT way for us - we saw older reviews that mentioned a problem with the mattress being saggy - well now it is the opposite and we were so comfortable. In fact I want to email the company to find out what type of mattress it is because it was that good (but very firm, so if that's not your think no worries you could always sleep in the bed in the loft!).
  
  New kitchen cabinets and countertops were nice. View is amazing. The grounds are perfect and it isn't crowded. We have stayed at Hoyochi Nikko before in a different unit - we aren't sure which we like better (top floor like this one, or bottom floor). But you can't go wrong here.
  Only suggestion we might have is having another option for comfy seating in front of TV - totally a first world ask, but after a long day on boats and in the sun sometimes we both like to stretch out and lounge to watch TV - with only one couch we had to fight each other for space ;-). This would not be a reason not to stay here. We loved this condo and would recommend it. It would definitely work for four people as well, because of the loft.

  The property is perfect in every way as long as you are expecting 60-70s construction. The location is nice , short distance to grocery stores etc. Unit 202 is in need of a little TLC but for the nightly rate is exactly what one should expect.   We stayed in three places this time around in Maui as booking one month together wasn’t working for us. On the third condo we hit what I could and would call is definitely paradise. The pictures are as advertised, the grounds are immaculate thanks to the daily routine of Alan. We were a few feet off the ocean and the view is more than your heart can take.
  
  The condo we had was super clean, modern, well kept and such a pleasure to be in. The lanai was spacious and the furniture was clean, fresh and we all but lived on it. It felt like home the moment we entered and, Terry, the owner, was amazing in her helpfulness and assistance.
  
  There were turtles (huge) steps away and we also saw our very first mongoose. It looks like a baby weasel but wow, are they ever quick.
  
  The feeling here is private....grounds....beach....There are very few condos here and that is what makes it so special.
  
  I was sort of reluctant to write about this as now I know we will never be able to get in again because everyone will want to be here. Terry, don’t forget us we will be back.

  This condo was in a perfect location with a very nice swimming beach. Property management was very kind. It was nice to have towels, chairs and amenities already there. Wouldn't recommend sleeping in the loft as it gets too hot. The A/C is only in the master bedroom. I would stay here again, but without kids. Unfortunately there is a unit residing there that doesn't like the sound of children playing in the ocean. Otherwise, great trip with an affordable place to stay.

  This place is amazing; we were amazed how lucky we were to have a place with our own slice of beach/heaven that really only had a handful of people sharing it (dozen at most)! The place itself was a great size for our family and had all the items we needed, besides AC (warm in the loft even with all the fans). The management was terrific: responsive, friendly and always available to answer Qs.
  The only nitpicky items were: tad warm in rooms other than the master, bathtub drained slowly, the slider to the patio was difficult to open and the sofa had better days, but other than that this place is a great bargain and in an ideal location.we’ll definitely recommend to friends.

  Overall, this was a great condo and would stay here again, although in a unit with air conditioning throughout (#202 only had air in one bedroom and the loft got pretty uncomfortable for sleeping). The beds were not great (on the soft side), and the kitchen small, but the view was incredible. We saw turtles every day swimming along the shoreline. We went swimming, boogie boarding, and snorkeling right outside the condo and swam with the turtles (no reason to spend a bunch of money on a tour!). This was a great place to avoid the big crowds and relax. Not too much in short walking distance, but we were okay with that. Parking is tight - get a small car!

  The Hoyonichi Nikko is a very unassuming property. The surprise comes once you enter your condo and see the gorgeous private ocean and lovely grounds with a well-maintained swimming pool. The best part of staying at this condo was indeed the private beach and the swimming pool! And of course the giant sea turtles that love to lounge on the beach :)

  We had a great stay at this oceanside condo with spectacular views. Its well located with easy access to a small secluded beach area. While the unit is dated it was clean, well appointed and provisioned for our family of four. We were particularly impressed with how well the grounds were kept. Finally, its a less than 1 km. walk to an organic market and fresh fish vendor.

  Terrible parking garage! Worth every swear! The location is all the photos suggest. Nice accommodations, quiet, plenty of room for four. Views made your day. Would say prices were reasonable. Only had two wine glasses, then I broke one. That's my biggest complaint. Next time I'll bring glasses. Haha

  The accommodation location was perfect. The unit unfortunately was not ready for us as we had booked a last minute holiday. But the management did everything they could to assist with preparations. Keys and internet connection.
  The air con units in the bedrooms were inadequate and could do with an upgrade. The system was too loud to have on at night which was required for sleep tin.
  But overall very pleased with our choice to stay here.

  After MANY months of searching and planning a two week trip to Maui, we stayed at this unit for 3 nights of the 16. For the price I thought it was a little outdated in the decor/amenities.However, if you were to sleep 4 to 6 people it would be a very affordable unit. It was just my husband and I on this trip. The bathroom was definitely in need of updating. The grounds were nicely kept and the management seemed to care about the complex and was attentive to that. When we arrived, the Property management guy was there trying to fix the light in the kitchen, but was unable to do so. He was kind and brought us a floor lamp to use in the duration of our stay. The view was beautiful and the pool was clean ( but cold!!!) All in all I thought it was a good stay and would recommend this unit.

  Spent 2 weeks in Hoyochi Nikko 202. The small 18 unit condo was perfect for us, and the view of the ocean from the lanai was spectacular. Saw whales and turtles many days.
  Location near a farmers market, small market, fish market, and several good takeout places is quite convenient. There are also enough good restraunts north of Lahaina, that if you want to avoid the traffic/parking chase there you can stay north. But you're just a few minutes away if you want to go into Lahaina for shopping or whatever.
  The unit could definitely use some updating. Uncomfortable couch, dysfunctional shower, lack of cooking basics like a spatula, worn out pots & pans were an inconvenience. But then I would return to the view or the lanai, and all would be forgiven!

  Quiet 1 BR condo with a loft( 2nd bed). Lovely beach right in front that is shared by only 2 other condo units( a real gem as no public access).Saw lots of turtles! Unit was clean and beds comfortable. Kids were a bit warm up in the loft area so air conditioning up there would have been nice. Kitchen was adequate. Very close to Kaanapali beaches that were lovely( good snorkelling at the northern public beach).Good snorkelling at Honalua bay that was a short drive north also. Would definitely stay again!??

  Our stay at Hoyochi Nikko was a lovely start to our Maui vacation. The property itself was lovely; the grounds and pool well cared for and a nice place for our toddler to be able to run around on the grass and the little sandy patch above the shoreline. The property managers hosted a 'pupas' evening where all the guests brought a little appetizer to share and socialize. Overall the atmosphere was very friendly and laid back.
  The unit itself was just ok. It's outdated and doesn't look very clean anymore (the outside of the fridge looked as though it had set in dirt for years and wouldn't come clean anymore). The view was spectacular from the second floor.
  The beach is not great for swimming for very much of the day (especially with young kids or older people a little unsteady on their feet). The water was a bit rough, with some rocky areas, and for a large portion of the day there was no beach at all.
  We stayed in Wailea after this and enjoyed our stay there more for different reasons but look back fondly at the small, friendly atmosphere that Hoyochi Nikko offered. The owner of #202 definitely needs to invest a little money into updates, however.

The high surf advisories have been in effect quite a bit lately so I apologize for not being able to enjoy the beach as much as usual at the Hoyochi Nikko. The condo itself is a little older although we have recently added the new couch, paint and some other amenities with a fully functionable kitchen as well.   Beautiful oceanfront condo in small, private complex. Condo had everything we needed. Management was superb. Wouldn't recommend it for my friends, however, because of the road noise as the bedroom is very close to the road. Also, it can get too warm late afternoon, especially in the loft, even with a breeze and extra fan and some of my friends would find it difficult to to haul their luggage up and down the stairs. Management carried our heaviest suitcases up for us. Thanks! Overall, great spot, good value and close to amenities and good beaches.

  The place is clean with a nice beach. Amenities are good with laundry. The lanai has a superb view and the property is well-maintained by a grumpy manager. The biggest disadvantage is accessing the beach. You must exit the condo by the roadside, go through unground parking, or pass through a locked gate to enter the beachside of the property - awkward and longish! But a good stay overall.
