Just Steps to the Ocean at This Ground Floor Condo!

Large one bedroom, custom tile throughout, glass block shower, new appliances and new cabinetry all make for a beautiful unit that flows from the living room onto the lanai and oceanfront garden area. King size bed allows total comfort. The lanai provides additional ocean front outdoor living and dining, with a glorious view of the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i. This condo has wireless high-speed internet access and an air-conditioned bedroom (for those rare times when the trade winds fade).
You will find yourself mostly spending time on the “lanai”, or patio of the unit, watching the action out front; surfers, outriggers, boats, and in season, Humpback WHALES breach out in front of the condo! Snorkel and swim with turtles out front, and enjoy the warm ocean, or bob in the pool. You will find yourself eventually living on “Maui Time”!

A sunset cruise around the island makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s even a submarine that can take you into the deeps while you view its mysteries from the comfort of a warm cabin. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs, and forests you would be hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, check out the zip lines at the Haleakala Skyline Tour. All this can be done just minutes, even steps away from your Maui vacation rental!

We are centrally located in West Maui, 10 minutes North of Lahaina and 5 minutes south of Kapalua. We are close to shopping, award-winning golf courses, and restaurants, only a few minutes away from the Whalers Village on world famous Ka’anapali Beach, home to the Whale Museum, along with numerous shops, restaurants and art galleries.

Covered Parking: Our assigned parking spot is under the building with only a 5'7" clearance. VANS, JEEPS, SUVS will not fit in our parking spot. Full size cars or smaller are required.

  The pictures are true to what you get. Beautiful view and 12 steps away from the ocean. We had many sitings of sea turtles, whales and one sea lion. Snorkeling right of the beach. Inside the unit, all was good also. Clean, all appliances in good working order. Bed and pillow really comfortable. We used the air conditioning only once as we enjoyed the ocean breeze. I have stayed in many VRBO, timeshare units and rhis one is very well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dinnerware, etc. Thanks for sharing your home.

  This cute condo is right on the beautiful sandy beach of west Maui. The grounds are beautifully maintained and you get a front row seat to the eye popping sunsets. This unit was very clean and furnished with attractive rattan furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped with every gadget and appliance you could need.
  The property management company is very responsive and friendly.
  The one drawback to this unit, and it really isn’t so serious, is the parking space assigned to this unit. It is located under the low under hang of the building and against the wall. Parking was a bit of a challenge but not a deterrent to the overall experience.

  This is the perfect get away. The sand and surf are just out the front door. If you want to be away from it all, this is the place. No crowds, just a small, secluded beach and private pool off the lanai. It is on a turtle sanctuary, so you can see them swimming every day and sometimes resting on the sand. You can do any water sport, so long as you rent your own equipment.

  We are very familiar with West Maui and the Condo's in this area. The unit was spacious, comfortable, and the view spectacular. The only bummer was that the sandy beach usually in front of the complex was gone due to storms, but should return as it usually does after the wind and current changes. The other problem we had was parking. This unit's parking space is under the complex, which only has 5'-7' of clearance, enough for a short car but not our Jeep! We missed that part on the rental agreement so had to park on the street and walk back several blocks. All in all it was a pleasant stay minus the parking.

  It is always wonderful, however, the complex was undergoing sewer and water upgrades at the time. On several days the smell was terrible and work was noisy. We were informed on the day before departure that we should have not been able to reserve that day as they we going to be starting our unit the following morning and to check out by 8:00am. That morning the new sewer line backed up and flooded the bathroom just as we were finishing bathing. It was stressful and disgusting. We will definitely stay here again but this work should have been done differently.

  While the location of this condo is second to none this unit is in desperate need of some upgrades. From a dishwasher that had missing pieces of racks, to a bed with a mattress that needs replaced, and a whole lot more in between. The best thing about this unit is the location.   We spent a wonderful ten days at Hoyochi Nikki, which we chose based on others’ reviews. We were looking for something low key, comfortable but not ostentatious, and as different from a gated community as one can get. We found it here. This is a wonderful property on the end of the ocean, and its size (18 units) means it is always quiet. There were lots of families when we were there, but we love to see kids having a good time - and we love that they they go to bed early rather than stay up partying with loud music! Suite 102 is very well appointed - even a salad spinner (rare in our experience!). The property is right on the road so we expected to be bothered by traffic, but we weren’t (but that’s why four stars instead of five on location). We’ll be back.

  We loved our stay at Unit #102! The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed for our visit to the island. I also loved the freshness and quality of the towels and the bed linens. The condo was immaculate and it was very nice to have a washer and dryer at our disposal. The view was so beautiful! We loved having our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the lanai.   The front of the property is an extension of the beach. Nothing could be more perfect than enjoying your mornings on the lanai watching the sun come up and then again in the evening watching the breathtaking sunsets. Lots of sea turtles go by as you swim and you can whale watch from your condo. Very private and relaxing especially with the pool out front facing the ocean. Definitely a place you want to come back to (if you can bring yourself to leave)

  Beautifully maintained property with amazing views of Lanai and Molokai. Beach is submerged depending on tide, but the ocean in front of the property is a great place to swim regardless. Getting to other parts of Maui takes 45-60 minutes, but the beauty and value of this property make up for it.

  Only 16 units with only 2 floors this property can either be great or dreadful! Small you get to enteract with your neighbors and thrusday at 6 pm is a meet and greet Pupu sunset activity we liked. The beach is right outside and close and the pool and ocean wounderful. BBQ grill is gas down near the water and we could walk to the market 10 minutes away.

  We loved this condo! The inside was clean, looked exactly as advertised, and had a kitchen that was well-stocked with everything needed. The location was even better than we expected! What looks like an unassuming and plain condo complex from the street side hides the spectacular location! The beautiful grounds are well-kept, the small pool is sparkling clean, and numerous well-placed lawn chairs are inviting. The beach is wonderful, and extends in front of this complex along with 2 neighboring complexes. It was never crowded, and provided a nice swimming spot. Sunsets every night were amazing! The on-site complex managers were very friendly and hard-working, and the Thursday night pupus get together soon were enjoyable! (Every owner we met was so nice!) I would highly recommend this property to anyone, and we will definitely return!
  Whale watching from our lanai or lawn chairs was amazing, too. We also saw numerous turtles swimming close to the beach, as well as two resting one day. Our favorite activity was a whale watching trip on a sailboat (Scotch Mist). Don't miss it!

  This location is for water lovers. Literally you open the sliding screen doors and walk 50 feet across the lawn and are on the beach. There is a wonderful small Reese just in front of the property which affords an excellent option for snorkeling, swimming, standup paddleboard or long boarding. #102 has been recently renovated and is tiled thru out which makes it easy to keep clean. only concerns are that the units are very close to the road and such leaving the windows open at night results in considerable road noise. Fortunately the master bedroom has an air conditioner which means that you can close the windows but the air conditioning unit is old and quite loud, so if you are a light sleeper be prepared. Parking is very tight and there is a 5 foot seven weight restriction which means that the minivan or SUV might not fit. There does not appear to be any additional guest parking. Internet speeds were OK and the Wi-Fi worked through condo area. Kitchen was clean, well-equipped and stocked with spices and some basic condiments. There it was a very quiet condo complex and my impression was that this was the general tone that was preferred, I don't think the party crowd would be welcome here at all. Perfect place to enjoy gorgeous Maui sunset, a cocktail and "pupus" with other guests. Would definitely recommend.

  Hoyochi Nikko is a great building. You basically have 200 feet of beach and ocean right outside your door. I would never stay anywhere else in Maui. The new building managers Beth and Bruce are simply the best. Toddy and the gang at Maui Lodgings go over and above to make sure your vacation is perfect. Jody the cleaning girl do a great job of making the rental spotless. I would use Maui Lodgings again, and Unit 102 at Hoyochi Nikko was just perfect. Great kitchen, laundry and the best view!   Hoyochi Nikko is almost like returning to the Hawaii of old. Living right on the beach with surf pounding, spectacular sunsets every night, and palm trees swaying in the breeze felt like we had gone back to the era before high-rise condos sprouted up all along the beach. Only 18 units in the building made for a friendly, inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed swapping stories about the horrible weather back home with our neighbors from all over the U.S.

  You get to walk right out onto a perfect beach. The deck chairs that site on the ridge above the beach itself are a great touch. The pool is immaculate if you need a break from the ocean. Sitting on the patio, or lanai, for a meal was great.
  
  The unit was fully stocked with everything we needed. There was a grocery store right up the street for everything else. You are close to Ka'anapoli and Lahaina. It is an hour from the airport, but it's a great drive. We look forward to coming back in the near future (hopefully).
