A sunset cruise around the island makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s even a submarine that can take you into the deeps while you view its mysteries from the comfort of a warm cabin. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs, and forests you would be hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, check out the zip lines at the Haleakala Skyline Tour. All this can be done just minutes, even steps away from your Maui vacation rental!

We are centrally located in West Maui, 10 minutes North of Lahaina and 5 minutes south of Kapalua. We are close to shopping, award-winning golf courses, and restaurants, only a few minutes away from the Whalers Village on world famous Ka’anapali Beach, home to the Whale Museum, along with numerous shops, restaurants and art galleries.

  First of all, let me say that the people at Maui Lodging are extremely helpful and courteous. They go out of their way to make sure everything is attended to promptly. Especially Terry. She is a gem.
  
  The unit was really nice. Plenty of kitchen amenities. Boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. all furnished, so no need to rent. Going to bed with the sound of the waves crashing is phenomenal. The unit has no a/c which wasn't a problem as far as the temperature. But 2 things to note:
  
  1) Being on the ground floor with the doors and windows open, the floor gets dirty very quickly.
  2) Because the doors and windows are open, you hear every person who passes by.
  
  The reason for a score of 4 for general condition is because the kitchen is a bit dated. It has older cabinets. Also, the beds are a bit uncomfortable which could probably be remedied with some foam toppers.
  
  Other than those few things, the place was very clean and comfortable for 4 adults. I would definitely stay there again.

  We had heard that this unit was coming on the market and it was open for 2 days at the end of our trip so we decided to stay and see what it was all about.
  
  We love that the master bedroom and the living room are both on the oceanfront. This walk out unit is 15' from the ocean, with beautiful views of the sunsets, turtles frequenting the beach and ocean and whales in season 100 yards out from the lanai. Its in a small boutique 28 unit complex with a nice ocean front pool and a private beach with only access from complex.
  
  Property is peaceful and well maintained. 2 New Bathrooms and this summer will be getting fresh painting, AC & a kitchen refresh.
  
  Great lanai you never have to leave to know why people come to West Maui.

  This is our second time renting a unit at Nohonani through Maui Lodging Properties and we continue to be delighted by the facility and rental agency. We really enjoyed our first floor unit. It was very comfortable and ideally situated for access to our favorite beaches. Such a luxury to watch sunsets while eating dinner on the lanai! My four star rating of general condition only reflects that some features such as kitchen cabinets are a bit tired - but not anymore than you would expect for a much loved vacation rental.

  I absolutely loved this condo! It was amazing to have the doors and windows open and listen to the ocean. My grandsons loved the easy access to the pool and beach. There was no A/C, but I didn’t find that to be a problem. There were several tower fans in the unit. The coffee maker didn’t work, but I’m not really a coffee drinker so that was fine. I am looking forward to coming back to Maui, and I will ask for 105!

  Nohonani #105 was absolutely perfect for our Maui Christmas Vacation! Being able to walk out to the lanai and enjoy the ocean being a few steps away was perfect. Falling asleep to the sound of the surf and waking up to the waves breaking was very relaxing.
  The location of the condo was exactly what our family needed. We were able to enjoy the beach and the pool without leaving the property. When we did choose to leave, there were several beautiful beaches to visit within a short drive, a positive with kids. The market was within walking distance, as well as several options for souvenir shopping.
  The property was beautifully maintained. The pool and surrounding area was sparkling clean every day.
  The condo's kitchen was well stocked with everything that we could have needed to meal prep. We took advantage of the beach chairs, cooler, and boogie boards that were provided, there was even a beach umbrella.
  The property manager, Bill, was very accomodating.
  If a friend or family member was looking for a relaxing place to stay, where they could sit quietly, enjoy the sounds of waves breaking, and watch whales breach while drinking their coffee I would recommend Nohonani #105 over and over again.

  Terry at Maui Vacation Rentals was excellent.She was prompt and very responsive to all my inquiries. She made the rental process very easy.
  The rental property had an incredible location on the ocean! We could walk out the door and into the ocean. Great snorkeling and swimming.
  The only negative was NO air conditioning. It was extremely humid and hot, and the condo does not really cool off at night. In fact, the afternoons were extremely uncomfortable in the condo because the afternoon sun would heat up the condo.
  All in all, the condo was nice. The bathrooms were newly renovated and the kitchen had the essentials.

  Booked through HomeAway. The location and beach front location of this condo is what makes this condo great. First floor with a private beach and pool only steps from the patio makes for a great location. It is a block away from a public beach park and farmers market and only short distances to great snorkeling beaches (Airport Beach and Kapalua Bay). The condo itself is nice, but wouldn't rate it as "luxury". It has 2 bedrooms, with a king bed master and 2 twins in the other. It advertises sleeping 6, but think 6 would be pretty cramped. Kitchen is good with all the essentials - again, not a gourmet set-up, but more than adequate for live-in meals while on vacation. There is a nice grill right around the corner that pretty sure not everyone in the complex knew about. The beach is great to play in the waves or snorkeling and was our hang-out spot on many afternoons.Snorkeling is limited to times that the winds lay down, generally in the morning. You have to get out a little bit for the coral structures, but we saw nice fish and sleeping turtles. Turtles are all around the beach, including a few that like to crawl up on the beach to sleep. No AC - a bit warm during the afternoon heat, but with windows open, was comfortable, and no issues sleeping at night. We had no issues with the condo and was able to arrange a late checkout on our last day. We had a great week there, met some really nice folks during our stay and would definitely consider returning to this complex and specifically, unit #105 again. Mahalo!

  This place is amazing. It's comfortable, right on the water and a ground floor unit. The unit is well stocked with everything you might need including boogie boards and a beach umbrella. The vaccuum is pretty useless and needs to be replaced (it can barely vaccuum up sand), and the dryer needs to be fixed and vented to the outside (it doesn't dry clothes well at all due to water building up in the filter. The kitchen could do with a garlic press, but otherwise, it is a clean, comfortable and excellent unit with all you could ask for. THe manager was awesome, and even lent us a life jacket for our small child.

  My mother, daughter and I spent 14 days at the Nohonani in unit #105 to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. We have stayed in this unit several times before and it is our favorite. We love that is away from the pool (quieter) and that it is on the ground floor so you can walk right out onto the grass and have easy access to the pool and beach. The unit was well stocked with a couple of exceptions. Needs small bowls(which we purchased) and only 2 pans had lids(one very small and the other that only fit 1 pan). It would also be nice to have a few throw rugs, as we like them next to our beds and in the bathroom. We bring our own, but it would be nice not to have to.
  The renovations to the landscaping are beautiful and the back garden area is so much better than it was before.
  Joe, the resident manager was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed talking with him.
  Needed a few repairs, by Maui Lodging was right on it and they were fixed promptly.
  There were several family groups staying there at the same time we were and that made it noisier and there were times when we couldn't use the pool area because the families were occupying all the lounge & table chairs. Additionally, it was noisy. We had a few screaming kids and a couple of loud mouths.
  But, the Nohonani is always our first choice when we come to Maui and we love it! We will just book dates for when kids are not out of school.

  We arrived to the condo in the evening and couldn't appreciate the view until the morning. Molokai and Lanai are right across and waiting for us to admire as we had breakfast on the balcony. The condo was very comfortable with all essentials. The building has a pool and new grills which gave us a break from all the restaurant eating. The little beach was perfect for my youngest to play in the mornings. Temperature was pleasant as long as you took advantage of all the windows, very nice Oceanfront breeze made sure of that. Would definitely recommend.

  Four adults stayed in the condo for five days in May of 2016. Everything exceeded our expectations. We had a question upon arrival and the property manager answered our call on the first try. He took care of us immediately. The turtles came up on the beach every night and the snorkeling in front of the condo was great. We were a short Uber ride to many restaurants and tourists attractions. The permanent owners were friendly and helpful. We will stay here again the next time we return to Maui.

  Dreams do come true! Nohonani 105 became our home for 6 days. The unit was clean, comfortable and situated right on the water. We loved the perfect views, sunsets and sea turtles. The condo is well stocked for what we needed to cook in the kitchen. The outdoor grills were always clean and the grounds were maintained everyday. There were plenty of linens and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were fresh and bright with oversized showers. It was nice having a washer/dryer in the unit. It was very quiet in our unit. We felt very safe. We had left some items on the mainland that we needed fed-exed to us. Maui Lodging allowed us to have it sent to their office. They were very accommodating and contacted us immediately for pick-up when it arrived. They also made the reservation, check-in and check-out hassle free. They were eager to answer questions and were very knowledgeable about the island and activities. Everything was as advertised.
  Be sure to go to the Farmers Market for produce and enjoy an acia bowl or one of their smoothies, it is all so refreshing and just a block down the street.

  One turtle on our "turtle snorkel adventure"- THREE turtles stay on Nohonani beach.
  The ocean is quite loud the first couple nights- she wore earplugs- I enjoyed it.

The king master bedroom is also ocean front which makes falling asleep to the sounds of the surf a great experience. This was our second stay in this unit. We saw them everyday, even got great underwater pictures of them in our first snorkel adventure. The condo had literally everything we needed for a great vacation. Kitchen was perfectly stocked.   This condo was in the perfect spot for my family! It was amazing to sit on the lanai and watch the whales every morning. There were always turtles in the coral in front of the nice little beach which was the perfect size for my children to play. The pool was an added bonus and was only full of kids once in the ten days we were there, but that was great for my kids. The condo was spacious and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with many spices and other odds and ends that made it easier to enjoy a meal at home. The location was perfect only a short drive to Lahaina and the airport was just a little further. This is definetly a condo I would return to!

  This was my first trip to Maui, and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay! The Maui Lodging Staff was easy to work with and helped me pick the perfect place! Having the lawn right off your lanai followed by beautiful beach and ocean is the perfect way to do it! Our only concern at first was the lack of air conditioning, but we realized the condo actually stayed very cool without it. I cannot wait to visit again!!!!! Also, everyone needs to try the Acai Bowls at the organic market place right next to Bad *** Coffee Co!

  What a vacation... 10 days of awesomeness. The unit comes with an amazing 180 degree view of the ocean and the two islands. Every evening (8pm) and morning (7am) the giant sea turtles swam up to our little private beach. The kids were just amazed to see the turtles. Apparently, the small private beach is a home to about 3 turtles that feed off of the shore. In few different occasions I was able to snorkel with them.
  
  The manager is amazing and the whole clientele that stay there are amazing. We made a few friends.
  
  The only, if I have to nitpick, is the fact that there is no AC. It does get pretty warm in there if should you decide to spend your day inside.

  We loved the location of this unit! Hearing the waves and feeling the breeze made for a very relaxing and comfortable vacation. Our view was awesome, one friend commented on how the sun set just in front of our unit - it sure felt like it did! We vacationed with 2 other families who stayed in condos close by. They all liked our place the best and came over to BBQ a couple of times. Loved seeing the turtles on our little beach, spent many hours on the lounge chairs relaxing and taking in the view. The pool was small, but rarely crowded and the temperature was very comfortable. It was helpful to have beach chairs, coolers, etc. to use. A few better quality chairs for the beach would be nice and the boogie boards were all in pretty bad shape. Regarding the unit, the only things we would change are:
  better twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. Both of our teenagers commented that they were smaller than average twins.
  Some hooks outside to hang wet towels and bathing suits. We saw most units had these.
  Cleaning supplies for those of us staying more than a week, including some laundry detergent to wash our sheets and towels. Window/glass cleaner in particular would have been very useful considering how much glass and mirrors there are. After 2 weeks, the glass surfaces looked pretty bad.
  We have been going to the other Hawaiian islands more recently, but after our trip to Maui and staying at this unit, I look forward to future trips to Maui - if I can reserve this unit!

  We were very happy with the location and the setting for # was light, airy and had great breezes throughout. The unit was basically clean and it was great to have beach towels, beach chairs, washer & dryer to use at our convenience. It would have been nice to have an extra set of sheets (the ones in the drawer did not fit the bed and were very ripped) and the pillows weren't great but overall the bed was comfortable. There was a great supply of towels for the bathrooms which was really appreciated. A small suggestion would be a small rug for the entry from the sliding doors and from the back door - not only do you carry in sand but it is very slippery if you are wet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved being on the main floor on the beach!

However, it's now ready for an update - it needs all new furniture (including the beds)and kitchen appliances including pots, pans, etc. Also it needs some comfortable patio chairs!
